Noblesville

Unsung Heroes Parade: 5 p.m. at the Courthouse Square in downtown Noblesville. The parade route starts at 16th and Harrison streets, travels from 16th Street to Logan Street, from Logan to Ninth Street, from Ninth to Monument Street, then back to 16th Street. The event precedes Noblesville's Fireworks Festival at 6 p.m. 18111 Cumberland Road. The festival will also include games, activities, food vendors, music by Dave & Rae, interactive inflatables, rock climbing wall, miniature NASCAR track, balloon artists, caricaturists, face painting, a car show featuring classics and street rods and a fireworks display at dusk. Admission is free and open to the public.

Plainfield

Hummel Park at 9:55 p.m. Free concert at 8 p.m. with the Hendricks Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Choir,  the fireworks will be synchronized with the orchestra.

Rushville

Rushville Elementary at 10 p.m.

Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra: Marsh Symphony on the Prairie Series Concert
8p.m. Conner Prairie, 13400 Allisonville Road, Fishers. Theme: "Yankee Doodle Symphony" with patriotic pops music, a veterans’ salute followed by fireworks. Conductor: Alfred Savia. Bass-baritone and narrator: Michel Bell. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. for picnics and preconcert entertainment. $23 in advance, $27 at event; children $9 in advance, $11 at event. (317) 639-4300

 

Canal FamilyFest: Indiana State Museum
4:30 to 7:30p.m. Indiana State Museum, 650 W. Washington St. Celebrate Independence in Indiana from its scenic location on the Canal Walk. Educational activities, games and an appearance by the Indianapolis Admirals model ship and boat club. After, view of Freedom Blast fireworks. Other FamilyFest activities at Eiteljorg Museum, Indiana History Center, Ohio Street Basin area at the Canal and White River State Park. Free on the canal, activities inside museum included with museum admission.


SPENCER: : July 3, Hickory Hills Campground in Spencer presents the 3rd Annual Freedom
Fest with the Blue River Band, wagon rides, a bounce house and professional fireworks display.
The campground will open to the public at 5 p.m. The fee for parking is $5 per
carload. All parking and concession proceeds will benefit Big
Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Indiana

Mooresville: June 28  Springhill Christian Center event at Neil Armstrong School in Mooresville. Faith and Freedom Festival begins at 6 p.m. with fireworks at dusk.

July 4  Fireworks Celebration sponsored by the Brown County Lions Club, with concert, refreshments, food, music, and more. Concert starts at 7 p.m. Donations accepted

Bloomington Area:
 June 27 (raindate June 28) Picnic With the Pops at Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington. An afternoon and evening of “Family, Friends, Food, Fun & Fireworks” — and music from the Bloomington Pops

 July 3 at 6 p.m. Southside Christian Church 4th of July Celebration with a hot-dog cookout, games for the kids, live music and a fantastic fireworks display at dark. Free. Call 812-824-9202

Solsberry  Eastern Greene :
July 3,  Eastern Fire Department Solsberry Fireworks Show. Festivities begin around 6 p.m. with music, food and fun. Fireworks begin at dusk. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket

Bedford: July 4  Parkview Track will be the site of Bedford’s fireworks display. There is a pre-concert and the fireworks begin at dark.

 June 27  Judah Heritage Festival Fireworks
Mitchell:
July 4, Fireworks will start just after dark at Lehigh Field in Mitchell.

Williams: June 27,  The annual Williams fireworks show, orchestrated by Chris Amstutz and family, will be June 27 this year. The annual show, in which the fireworks are set off over the White River near the dam, is a fundraiser for the Williams Volunteer Fire Department.

Indiana fireworks law
» Only individuals 18 or older can purchase fireworks.
» Fireworks can be used only on the buyer's property, the property of someone who granted permission for fireworks to be discharged or a place designated by the Indiana state fire marshal.
» Fireworks on the Fourth of July can be discharged from 9 a.m. to midnight.
» A person who violates fireworks laws can be charged with a Class C infraction.
» If people recklessly, knowingly or intentionally use fireworks and the violation causes property damage, they can be charged with a Class A misdemeanor.
» If there is bodily injury, the charge is enhanced to a Class D felony, and if there is a death, a Class C felony.

Firework safety tips
» Keep a fire extinguisher, water supply, hose or bucket of water nearby.
» Use fireworks outdoors, never indoors.
» Use in a clear, open area.
» Keep spectators a safe distance from the show.
» Be cautious about lighting any fireworks during strong wind conditions.
» Don't allow children to handle, play with or light any fireworks.
» Designate one person to ignite fireworks.
» Light only one firework item at a time.
» Never smoke when handling fireworks.
» Never aim, point or throw fireworks at another person.
